Being in public service, means being of service to the public....

April 5, 2021

During the pandemic, I found safe and creative ways to support our residents, from volunteering at our monthly gleaners food distribution, volunteering at my third city tree planting, helping organize a Thanksgiving Dinner give away for 500 families, creating the Light Up Hp virtual holiday lighting event, co organizing the Socially Distanced Santa Parade, helping residents track down and schedule vaccine appointments, reading to Hoover elementary students virtually for National Reading Month, hosting my first virtual Coffee with Council coffee hour, hosting a surprise Easter Egg hunt in 4 local parks, organizing an 8 Mile Blvd clean up and city wide clean up, requesting a study session and budget oversight meeting to help residents better understand exactly how our taxes are spent, and so much more!
