Policy Change I've Helped Create 

When we work together, magic happens. From bringing the Hope not Handcuffs program to our community, to a pet patrol portion of neighborhood watch where residents who register can get a cute pet bandana - stay alert and help keep our community safe. I was proud to Co sponsor a pride resolution in 2018 that we now recognize yearly. During the year after my house fire, I found a need for pet cpr training and secured that at no charge for all of our first responders. Most recently in 2020, I was able to develop a High Risk Response Team here in Hazel Park to help protect victims of Domestic violence and prevent further violence against them. This was a policy that was quickly adapted by surrounding communities as well. In 2021, with the newly appointed Council Member - I was able to co sponsor another ordinance for equity when we introduced and passed our own Human Rights Ordinance.
